I think it's fair to say that most people have heard of Pink Floyd, and I think it is also fair to say that most people have heard at least one of their songs. BUT one thing that is guaranteed is that at some point in your life, you'll see someone with a Dark Side of The Moon Tee. Hailed as one of the greatest albums of all time, honestly I was a bit wary about listening to it. I had known Floyd for their LONG compositions (Echoes, Crazy Diamond... both JoJo references lol), and had the misunderstanding that all their songs were long instrumentals with a few verses sprinkled throughout (not that I don't like those songs). After a recommendation from a coworker, I finally gave the album a shot, and the best way I can describe it is... look at the cover — it feels like you're the light beam smoothly travelling through the spectrum. This album covers a variety of sounds from the more classic rockers like 'Money', to the calming 'Us and Them', yet it all flows neatly, tied with a bow. My personal favorite song was 'Time', and honestly I don't think it would be even fair to say I had a least favorite. I'd say this is maybe the closest to a perfect album you could have, but I still wouldn't call it my favorite (maybe I like an album with flaws).
